Scott Messenger gives a thumbs up in his review for the March 2010 issue of Alberta Venture: " Green Oil spins attainable economic revision - born of those hard - earned blessings - into global benefit. It's heartening and it's motivating."

The new Canadian Minister of Natural Resources has stated, economic growth must be balanced with the environment.

Paradis told reporters: "The key point in that is to balance the economy and the environment ... I expect that the industry will share its burden to reach that goal".

Satya will be speaking to the Economics Society of Northern Alberta (ESNA) when they host an upcoming luncheon at the Edmonton Petroleum Club on January 22nd, 2010.

The ESNA promotes public awareness and understanding of current economic problems, issues and achievements in Northern Alberta.

Satya Das comments on why Canada must be the leader on the green energy future post Copenhagen summit in the Monday January 4th, 2010 edition of the Globe and Mail.
Satya spoke with Kelly Cryderman on the pressures on Canadian government to reduce levels of greenhouse gas emissions from oil sands at Copenhagen Conference.
Kelley Cryderman interview with Satya Das on outcomes of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change meeting in Copenhagen also published in Vancouver Sun.
"In the meantime, it looks like Alberta may be headed for a final showdown with the big oil giants anyway. There are new innovators and some very vocal dissenters rising up to do battle with these powerful corporations. People like Satya Das who has just published "Green Oil", a book he describes as an "owner's manual" to help Albertans and Canadians make decisions about their $15-trillion oil sand resource."

-Patricia Daly Cobourg

Ken Davis interviews Satya Das on Sunday, December 20th. CKUA Bookamrk will air at 12:30 p.m on 94.9 FM.

Green Oil featured as a persuasive book to read over the holiday season in Edmonton's December Avenue magazine.

Satya will be one of the authors at the Edmonton Journal Bookfair and Writer's Festival hosted by Edmonton Journal columnist Paula Simons on December 12th from 1 to 4 p.m.

"Drop down to our sunny Journal atrium, do your Christmas shopping, courtesy of Laurie’s Book Company, have your books signed by your favourite Journal authors, and enjoy a free afternoon of great readings and great conversations about writing."

What would Alberta and Canada’s role in a new climate change treaty be? Satya along with Senior Policy Advisor on Climate Change for CAPP, Rick Hyndman and U of Alberta Professor of Energy and Environment, Ujjayant Chakravorty discussed following an interview with Alberta Minister of Environment Rob Renner.

Marliss Weber gets the reaction of Edmonton-Strathcona MP Linda Duncan and Satya on Canadian climate change policy in the lead up to the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference.

"According to Das, Harper is lacking motivation for a green revolution based on his politics and is out of step with the direction much of the rest of the world is heading. 'He’s still playing by the Bush-Cheney rulebook."
