Satya is a judge for the National Newspaper Awards and he will be attending the annual NNA Gala Dinner in Toronto.

The Canada 2020 Crossing Boundaries conference featured such key speakers as Minister Josee Verner, Frank McKenna, Salman Rushdie, Tim Flannery, Chris Anderson, Shaun Graham, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. The conference was put together to look at the issues that will face Canada and the world in the near future and how Government can communicate more effectively with Citizens. Along with Satya. the panel included Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist and thinker Sheryl WuDunn; Equiterre founder and former Greenpeace Climate and Energy campaign coordinator Steven Guilbeault; and Cleantech Group co-founder Nicholas Parker. They tackled the questions of what Canada needs to do to assert itself as a leader in the clean energy future and the role industry and government need to play in achieving sustainable production with regard for the environment and carbon emission caps and offset systems of the future that will emerge.
Canada at 150: Rising to the Challange is a non-partisan gathering leading thinkers and current and future leaders gathering together in Montreal March 26-28 to address where Canada will find itself in the face of issues from jobs, family sturcture, the creative and cultural economy in 2017- Canada's 150th birthday.
Satya will be speaking on how Canada can balance growth and responsibility with energy, environmental and economic concerns by filling the gap that exists in the world for a nation that leads in low carbon clean – energy production.
